Job summary

Aylesford School invites applications for a Teacher of Child Development to cover maternity leave from January 2027 for two terms. You will teach two Year 11 and one Year 10 KS4 classes in Child Development, alongside KS3 Religious Education and KS3/4 Citizenship/PSHE.

Job description

January 2027 start | Two-term fixed-term contract We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Child Development to join our team from January 2027, providing maternity cover for two terms.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for teaching two Year 11 and one Year 10 Key Stage 4 Child Development classes, alongside Key Stage 3 Religious Education and Key Stage 3 & 4 Citizenship/PSHE.

We are looking for an engaging classroom practitioner who can build positive relationships with pupils, create an inclusive and purposeful learning environment and bring enthusiasm to the subjects they teach.
