We have an exciting opportunity for a Craft, Design and Teacher. We welcome applications from Art teachers with a design or architectural background or teachers interested in developing dual qualification as a Design and Technology Teacher, or teachers with a STEM background. The role involves a varied curriculum including both BGE and Senior Phase within our Graphic, Design and Manufacturing Department. Past experience of successfully dual qualifying Art teachers is available, with tailored training to suit individual needs. The role utilizes our Graphics rooms with full IT facilities and a new Maker Space (CAD/CAM - laser cutters, 3D printers, etc). The successful candidate will be trained on this equipment and on computer packages for designing, developing, and constructing products. Ross High School, located in Tranent, East Lothian, is a co-educational, non-denominational school about 12 miles from Edinburgh city center, with a current roll of 1200 pupils, expected to increase. The school offers excellent facilities and actively seeks to broaden learning beyond the classroom through community partnerships.
Ross High School is also designated as the ELC provision for secondary pupils with Complex Support Needs.

Pay Arrangements
