Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Business and ICT to join our dynamic team on a temporary, long-term basis starting in September 2025.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and Key Stage 4.

You will be joining a supportive department with excellent resources and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in Business Studies and ICT that meet the needs of all students.
• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
• Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and assessments.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole school CPD.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications: A relevant degree in Business, ICT, or a related subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification (preferred for overseas-trained teachers).

Experience and Skills:

• Experience teaching Business and ICT at secondary level (KS3 KS4 required, KS5 desirable).
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Competent in the use of digital technology to enhance teaching and learning.
