Salary Range: MPS 1 UPS 3 (£31,650 - £49,084 FTE)

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Essa Academy is seeking to recruit a Teacher of Art to join the team. The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Set high expectations which inspire and motivate our young people to fulfil their potential.
  • Demonstrate the drive and skill to raise standards of students' attainment and achievement through good subject and curriculum knowledge.
  • Monitor and track student progress within their classes. Adapt teaching to respond to strengths and needs of pupils.
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment and fulfil wider professional responsibilities.
