About The Academy

Caradon Academy provides education for mainstream pupils who have been permanently excluded, are at risk of exclusion, or are on an intervention basis. Located in Liskeard, South-East Cornwall, it serves some of the most socially and economically deprived rural areas. The academy is a mainstream provision designed to re-engage pupils with their learning early on.

Caradon Academy can accommodate up to 40 pupils, is mixed sex, and caters to pupils from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4 who have been permanently excluded or are on intervention programs.

We collaborate closely with local primary and secondary schools to meet the needs of vulnerable pupils. Our curriculum is tailored to our pupils' needs, and staff work hard to ensure pupils have opportunities to succeed and aspire. We also work with various outside agencies to provide necessary support and guidance.
