Teacher of Art and Design

Brockhill Park is seeking to appoint a passionate, innovative, and highly motivated teacher to work within our Art Department.

Applications are very welcome from both newly qualified teachers and those with previous experience.

Art & Photography Subject Area Information

KS3 study offers a variety of skills, techniques, and processes to give students a well-rounded art experience and prepare them for study in Key Stage 4.

For KS4, we deliver:

  • AQA GCSE Art, Craft, and Design - currently delivered through Fine Art, Art Graphics, and Photography endorsements.
  • AQA GCSE Photography

For KS5, we deliver:

  • AQA A Level Art, Craft, and Design
  • AQA A Level Photography

The subject area includes specialist workspaces, with three art classrooms and a photography classroom featuring an integrated studio and Mac suite.

The applicant should:

  • Be an inspiring practitioner, keen to ensure the highest standards and contribute to the success of the department
  • Have the knowledge and ambition to teach across the full age and ability range
  • Be enthusiastic, resourceful, and a good communicator

Brockhill Park is an 11-19 Academy with Performing Arts status, Rural Dimensions status, and supports its own working farm. It is a popular school of 1300 students situated in rural surroundings on the edge of the Cinque Port of Hythe.
