Salary: £33,594 - £50,589
Hours: 35 per week
Gracemount High School is a small non-denominational secondary school with just over 600 pupils, serving the Southeast Edinburgh community. Founded in 1959 as a junior secondary school, it has been a comprehensive six-year high school since the late 1960s. The school was built under PPP and opened in 2003. The leadership team includes the Head Teacher, three Depute Head Teachers, a Senior Development Officer, and a Business Manager. The school employs 50 teaching staff and 20 support staff.
We are a successful, thriving school serving a socially diverse community, with over 70% of students living in quintile 1 and 2 of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation. Salaries are in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scheme. The preferred candidate will need to join or update their PVG Scheme membership. If the candidate has spent over 3 months outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
