Job summary

Cognita, in partnership with Alleyn’s Schools Group, invites applications for a Teacher of Art and 3D Design at Alleyn’s Hampstead Senior School. You will join a thriving Visual Arts Department, delivering engaging Art and 3D Design lessons to students across Key Stages 3-5, using traditional and contemporary media.

You will work with experienced staff and practising artists, contributing to exhibitions, clubs and enrichment activities that promote creativity, high standards and a vibrant

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher of Art and 3D Design with ability to teach across KS3-5.

Responsibilities

• Teach Art and 3D Design to KS3-5 pupils with engaging lessons.
• Deliver lessons using traditional and contemporary media.
• Contribute to a collaborative Visual Arts Department and practice artists.
• Lead clubs, exhibitions, trips and enrichment activities to foster creativity.
• Support a smooth transition to a three/ four-day pattern as required.

Cognita has formed a partnership with the Alleyn’s Schools Group to establish two leading independent day schools in north London. As part of this partnership, North Bridge House Regent’s Park Prep and North Bridge House Hampstead became Alleyn’s schools. Alleyn’s Regent’s Park successfully transitioned in September 2025, welcoming pupils aged 3-11. Alleyn’s Hampstead followed in September 2026, offering an exceptional education for pupils aged 2-18 and bringing the distinctive Alleyn’s ethos of academic excellence, creativity, and care to north London.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teacher of Art & 3D Design to join our fantastic team.

About the Role

As Teacher of Art and 3D Design, you will join a thriving and highly creative Visual Arts Department, teaching students across Key Stages 3-5. You will deliver engaging lessons that encourage creativity, experimentation and independent thinking, using a range of traditional and contemporary media. Working alongside experienced colleagues and practising artists, you will contribute to a collaborative department that values innovation, high standards and a positive learning environment.

Beyond the classroom, you will play an active role in the wider life of the department through clubs, exhibitions, trips and enrichment activities, helping to foster a vibrant culture of creativity across the school.

This is a permanent, part-time position available for an immediate start. The successful candidate will be required to work four days per week until the Christmas break to support a smooth transition, before moving to the permanent three-day-per-week working pattern from January.
