Job Type: Permanent

Setting: High Peak School

At Kedleston Group, our vision is simple: every provision we operate will be recognised as ‘outstanding’ in every way.

As Maths/Science Teacher at High Peak School, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will plan, assess and deliver outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable all young people to learn, whilst ensuring that pastoral needs are also met. You will establish excellent relationships with parents and carers and inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, families, and other professionals.

About you:

For this role, we are looking for someone who holds a teaching degree or equivalent and QTS. Ideally, you will have teaching experience delivering the Maths and/or Science National Curriculum (KS2/KS3) along with experience of working with children with SEND and ASC. We are keen to hear from teachers who have experience working with children with autism spectrum conditions and social emotional and mental health needs. However, due to the supportive culture at High Peak School, this position may also be suitable for mainstream primary or secondary teachers and ECTs who feel they are ready to take on a challenge.

With a proven ability to deliver high-quality, lively and effective teaching at KS2 or KS3, which engages and motivates young people, you’ll be someone who has a passion for supporting them to learn and develop, and you’ll want to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people.

We would love to hear from you if you share our passion and commitment to developing confident and capable young people by meeting their educational, health, and social care needs in a structured, nurturing school.

We very much welcome applications from teachers wishing to transition from mainstream to working with smaller groups of students in special education. We will help you build your expertise and confidence to deliver high-quality, lively and effective classroom teaching in an autism-friendly way through our ongoing package of training, CPD, and one-to-one supervision.

Why work for us?

· A competitive salary and generous annual leave entitlement

· A comprehensive induction programme so you can hit the ground running

· Continued professional development and training

· Contributions to your pension

· A friendly, passionate team committed to getting the best outcomes for our young people

Benefits include:

· OFSTED bonuses

· Cycle to work scheme and laptop loans

· Discounts on cinema trips, electronics, fashion, home and garden, travel, groceries, gifts, utilities, health, and fitness

· Birthday treats

· Long service and employee of the month awards

· Employee assistance and counselling service, wellbeing support and advice

· Optional flu jab
