About the role:We are currently seeking Teacher in Mathematics to join our Sixth Forms department at The Bedford College Group
.As a Teacher, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Overall Responsibilities - Help students develop skills and reach their potential through course delivery and contributing to Sixth Form curriculum and student experience.
- Main Duties - Undertake teaching commitments, engage and motivate students, plan and deliver lessons, provide assessments and feedback, achieve retention and success targets, participate in curriculum development, staff development activities, organize extracurricular activities, apply health and safety guidelines, participate in meetings, produce progress reports, contribute to student enrichment, promote Sixth Form at events, safeguard welfare, undertake responsibilities within regulatory requirements, participate in lesson enhancement, be an academic tutor.
- Statutory Duties - Promote and safeguard welfare, ensure equality and diversity, follow health and safety requirements, participate in training and development.
About you:- Qualifications - Degree in a relevant subject, Certificate in Education or equivalent, GCSE Maths and English (grades A-C) or equivalent.
- Experience - Teaching A Level, teaching in Sixth Form or FE College (16-18 year olds), successful teaching record, using ILT to enhance teaching, working with diverse backgrounds, high performance in previous roles.
- Knowledge - Up-to-date subject area knowledge, syllabus, teaching methods, promoting equality and diversity.
- Skills - High-quality teaching, creating supportive environments, promoting a positive image, effective teamwork, openness to change, flexibility, accuracy, robust approach to work, positive team contribution, effective communication (face-to-face, telephone, writing), excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attributes - Commitment to Sixth Form values, safeguarding welfare, maintaining appropriate relationships and boundaries, willingness to update skills, flexible work approach, willingness to work at all locations, awareness of health and safety requirements.
