The Headteacher and governors of Etruscan Primary School, which is part of the Orchard Community Trust, are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and nurturing teacher to be a part of our team from September 2025.
We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with a ‘can do’ attitude, passion, drive and a smile.
The successful candidate will be teaching in Key Stage 1.

The successful candidate will:
- Have primary teaching experience
- Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner
- Have a proven track record of KS1 practice
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of the Curriculum
- Have an understanding of a culturally diverse school
- Be flexible and work well as part of a team
- Show an ability to foster a culture of respect and openness; reflecting the ethos and values of the school.
This role includes responsibilities for:
- Creating a positive, purposeful, high quality learning environment which encourages, inspires and enables children to reach their potential – and beyond;
- Having high standards of positive behaviour for learning, in line with the school’s behaviour policy;
- Teaching children by planning their learning with closely matched objectives and tasks, assessing their learning and giving feedback to achieve progression of learning and meet high expectations;
- Adapting lessons and the environment to suit the needs of all children;
- Work as a team member and identify opportunities for working with colleagues, managing their work where appropriate and sharing the development of effective practice with them.
- Ensure that colleagues working with them are appropriately involved in supporting learning and understand the roles they are expected to fulfil.
- Ensure the safeguarding of all pupils and staff within the classroom, and outdoors
- Listen to the children and provide opportunities which are pupil led and based on their interests.
