Job Title: SEN Teacher
Pay Rate: £162.31 £223.63 per day
Location: Birmingham
Hours: 8.30am 3.30pm

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to work at a well-respected special school in Birmingham. This role is available for full-time and day-day applicants who are dedicated to supporting pupils with a range of complex learning needs.

The school caters to pupils aged 2 to 19 years, all of whom have Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs). Students may present with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). Some pupils also have additional needs such as visual or hearing impairments.

The successful candidate will be joining a strong and experienced team of staff who are passionate about delivering high-quality, individualised education. Communication and personalised learning are central to the school s approach, and all lessons are designed to support each child s unique learning style and needs.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Have experience working with children or young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

  • Be confident in planning and delivering engaging, individualised learning programmes

  • Show excellent classroom management and a nurturing, inclusive teaching style

  • Be passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs

  • Demonstrate commitment to the school s values: Belonging, Teamwork, Respect, Equality, Kindness, and Safety

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service
