Job description

The Creative Learning Partnership Trust are seeking to appoint a full-time teacher to work at Greenhall and across our SEDIS provision (outreach and in-reach)

Starting September 2025

If you are passionate about making a difference to the children in our community, this opportunity could be for you.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, inspiring and nurturing Teacher to join our outstanding team. Greenhall is a Special School for children in the Early Years with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. There are currently 40 children on roll. A child-centred approach is at the heart of all that we do and we want all children to excel and ‘fly’ in all aspects of school life. We believe effective relationships that provide high support and high challenge are crucial and knowing our children well is foundational to this.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to share responsibility for a class whilst also being a key figure delivering our outreach and in-reach work. The role will be shaped in response to the growth of Greenhall & SEDIS.

We are offering the opportunity to work in a school with a committed, welcoming and highly dedicated staff team. We believe in championing our staff to be the best that they can be. Training, support and coaching will be offered to the successful candidate to ensure they are successful in their duties.

We are looking for an experienced, nurturing teacher who;

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a sound understanding of SEND and inclusion
  • Is willing to go the extra mile for our children, families and wider community
  • Cares about details – you know whose coat is whose and are willing to spend time looking for a missing welly boot!
  • Has high expectations, working WITH the child and family
  • Can remain calm, patient and playful when a child is struggling with big feelings – you will sit on the floor with them, help them to do a sensory circuit, give them the space they need or coach them through
  • Loves stories and is happy to read the same book many times a day without losing the magic and voices that it was first read with!
  • Sings with gusto
  • Has a warm, infectious smile that lights up their face – this smile is there to greet our children, families and fellow staff to show them how loved, special and valued they are!
  • Dresses appropriately for the weather so that the great outdoors is never out of bounds!
  • Has an understanding of the EYFS and the needs of children in the early years as well as the wider primary curriculum
  • Be able to lead a team of support staff and have the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate others across the school and in the community.
  • Is creative, able to think outside the box and work with others to find sustainable solutions

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service, references and medical clearance.

We would strongly encourage prospective candidates to make contact and arrange to visit the school. To arrange a tour, please contact Sue on 01785 246159.

For the right candidate(s), we are open to splitting the role into a class teacher (0.5) and a lead practitioner for SEDIS (support staff) (0.5). If either of these roles interests you, please get in touch.

Full-time, permanent. Salary Range: Teachers MPS-UPS plus 1 SEN point

Closing date: Wednesday 18th June 2025 Midnight

Interviews: w/c 23rd June 2025
