Helen Allison School is a welcoming, inclusive independent day school accredited by the National Autistic Society. We cater to children aged 5-19 on the autism spectrum with an Education, Health and Care plan. Our small school accommodates up to 83 pupils, with an average of 6 pupils per class.

Our transdisciplinary team delivers outstanding support to help our pupils develop strategies to overcome learning barriers, nurture talents and interests, and build self-esteem and well-being.

We offer a curriculum tailored to meet all pupils' needs, fostering their individuality and creating an environment conducive to learning.

Helen Allison School has achieved Beacon Status following Autism Accreditation and was rated 'Good with Outstanding features' by OFSTED.

Who we are looking for:

We seek a passionate English Lead teacher who enjoys working with pupils with Autism and can deliver creative, inspiring lessons. You will ensure teaching quality meets statutory standards and collaborate within a transdisciplinary team to plan curriculum, including sensory approaches. You will be responsible for providing high-quality, autism-specific education, enabling pupils with ASD to progress.

Applicants with knowledge of Early Years and Primary Curriculum are encouraged to apply. A creative approach to teaching to maximize pupils' progress is essential.
