Spécialisations: Général.
Âge de la clientèle visée: Non spécifié (1-100).
I have found myself in a situation that requires frequent travel to France on business - normally once a month - and struggle a bit with the language.
At first, I was happy if I managed to string two coherent words together.
Following a couple of years of Duolingo (just over 800 days), I am now able to hold slow one-to-one meetings with suppliers entirely in French, as well as make some simple phone calls.
Occasionally, I have managed to join in group conversations, but generally cannot follow all of this.
I often play football in Lyon, which (combined with visiting sawmills) teaches a practical, but unorthodox kind of vocabulary - the sort your average fluency test doesn't pick up.
Although I have come a surprisingly long way in the last couple of years, I now find myself annoyed about everything I can't pick up, rather than encouraged with what I can understand.
Hence, I am looking for lessons. Many Thanks, Ernie
