A local government entity is looking for a dynamic Montessori Teacher Assistant to assist in a part-time position. Qualifications

Montessori Teacher Assistant – Part-time

The Town of Windsor is looking for a dynamic, energetic Montessori Teacher Assistant to fill a part-time position. The successful candidate will assist in the planning and implementation for a Primary Montessori Program for children ages 3 to 5 years, guide children’s activities in a prepared Montessori environment, assist with supervising children, establish relationships with children and families based on dignity and respect, assist with housekeeping tasks, and attend staff meetings and other recommended training.

  • Guide children’s activities in a prepared Montessori environment
  • Supervise children
  • Establish relationships with children and families based on dignity and respect
  • Assist with housekeeping tasks
  • Attend staff meetings and other recommended training
Qualifications
  • 12 credits in Early Childhood Education with 1 year experience; or Associates degree in education preferred
  • Must have good knowledge of principles and practices of early childhood education and development
  • Successful completion of the Town of Windsor’s pre-employment background and drug screen – includes testing for marijuana
Compensation and Schedule
  • Rate of Pay: $17 hourly
  • Schedule: up to 29 hours per week – Mon thru Fri 12:00 pm to 5:45 pm
