Who are we looking for from you?

  • Engagement Skills: Ability to engage learners and support their ambitions, bringing fresh ideas and creativity.
  • Emotional Support: Passion for making a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Academic Background: Degree in a relevant teaching subject, or equivalent for SEN (desirable).
  • Core Teaching Qualifications: QTS/QTLS or willingness to work towards it. Specialist qualifications are desirable.
  • Experience: Experience in a school environment, especially secondary school, is advantageous.
  • Teaching Subjects: Proficiency in English, Maths, and Science with a minimum of grade 4/C or higher.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of alternative provision and students with special needs.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to solve problems and make effective decisions.
  • Communication: Professional communication with students and staff.
  • Promotion of Values: Commitment to equality, diversity, safeguarding, wellbeing, and British values.
  • Time Management: Effective planning, delivery, and assessment skills.

About The School

Progress Schools is part of The Progress Group, which includes six business units committed to innovative, high-quality education and training. Progress Schools operates 13 OFSTED-regulated independent schools nationwide.

At Progress Schools Wolverhampton, we support approximately 15 pupils needing a nurturing environment to reintegrate into mainstream settings. Our team includes the Head of School, three teachers, and support staff, with additional support from regional and national staff.
