Job description

Up to GBP 51,763 + excellent benefits

Our teachers are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. There are many ups and downs, and for some of our young people, sitting through a lesson can be a big win. We call these huge small victories, and while they may seem small on the surface, they add up to make a big difference.

Get out what you put in

You'll be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You'll help them learn, develop their abilities, and raise their self-esteem. You need to be resilient and dedicated, but those huge small victories will be something you're really proud of.

It can be a tough journey, but the positive steps forward will more than make up for it. As a Teacher at Witherslack Group, you'll receive all the support you need to succeed, including in-house psychologists, teaching assistants, and therapy professionals. Your colleagues will be experts in their fields, the school environments will be well-resourced, and we'll support you every step of the way to build a rewarding teaching career.

One of the best environments in SEND

The greatest achievements often don't come easily, but Hall Cliffe has earned a reputation as a school that can help turn young people's lives around. The school is housed in a stunning listed building, featuring a tranquil courtyard used for recreational and therapeutic activities. The core focus at Hall Cliffe is the pupils, reflected in the unwavering commitment and support from our staff. The school supports young people with ADHD, ASD, Asperger's, or SEMH needs.

What we do for you

We believe you're going to do great things. For your hard work and commitment, we reward you with the best salary and benefits package in the education sector. With us, you'll bring learning to life and make a genuine difference in the lives of our young people. Additionally, you will receive:

  • Training: Full induction and on-the-job training
  • Holiday: Full school holidays to reward your hard work
  • Progression: Most of our head teachers and leaders have been promoted from within
  • Flexible benefits: Options to adjust benefits like life insurance - check out our benefits here
  • Pension: Various pension schemes including Teachers' Pension and attractive alternatives
  • Wellbeing: Tools and advice, including employee assistance

Bring your whole self to work

  • - Your 'can-do' attitude and teamwork skills
  • - Your passion for teaching and its impact
  • - Your ability to relate your subject to each pupil and build relationships
  • - Your enthusiasm and expertise to develop your department

Previous teaching experience and Qualified Teacher Status are required.
