Qualifications

  • Proven experience teaching children with SEN, ideally in a specialist or mainstream setting.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies and behaviour management.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs.
  • Teach small classes or work with pupils on a 1:1 basis depending on need.
  • Create a nurturing, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Lead on assessment and progress tracking for pupils with a wide range of learning abilities.
  • Work closely with TAs, SENCO, therapists and parents to ensure holistic support.
  • Support pupils' personal, social and emotional development as well as academic progress.

Are you a passionate, experienced SEN Teacher committed to providing inclusive education for children with additional needs? A caring and forward-thinking SEN provision in St Helens is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
