Job summary

A Primary Special School is seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join their team from January 2026. The role requires experience in safeguarding and a strong ability to support children with severe and complex needs. Grade: M1 UPR3

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time

Working Pattern: All Year Round

Actual Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (+ £2,679 SEN Allowance)

Responsibilities

The Governors of Newlands School are seeking to appoint a Class Teacher from January 2026 or earlier, if possible, who:

  • Is proactive and vigilant in their approach to safeguarding pupils
  • Is experienced in working within a team to ensure the best outcomes for children
  • Has the personal and social skills to communicate clearly and sensitively, establishing and sustaining good relationships with parents, pupils and other staff

  • Has high expectations of all pupils’ achievement and behaviour
