Job summary

Cambian Pengwern College is seeking an experienced teacher to join a specialist further education provision in North Wales. The role focuses on delivering a person-centred curriculum for learners aged 16–25 with learning disabilities and complex needs.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised teaching qualification, have experience in inclusive education, and be committed to high-quality teaching, learning and assessment within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised teaching qualification and experience.
• Experience of teaching a person-centred curriculum in new and innovative ways.
• Experience of working with and teaching learners with learning difficulties/disabilities and/or challenging behaviour.
• Able to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to underpin high levels of achievement for all learners.
• Exposure/Experience with ESTYN & CIW preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to underpin high achievement for all learners.
• Teach a person-centred curriculum to students aged 16–25 with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary team to plan and review progress.
• Contribute to safeguarding and quality assurance processes as part of the college’s ethos.

Pengwern College is looking to enhance the quality of Education to our Students and are looking for a talented and experienced Teacher to join the team!

Working alongside a supportive and collaborative team, you will be playing an important & rewarding part in providing education to our Students.

Cambian Pengwern College is an independent provider of specialist further education in North Wales, offering day, and up to 52-week residential placements for young people aged 16 to 25 with a learning disability and complex needs.

Our person-centred approach ensures that students have an individualised learning programme developed to effectively match their needs, personal decisions and aspirations, be the focus on daily living skills, vocational qualifications or independent living. The ideal candidate will :

Have experience of teaching a person-centred curriculum in new and innovative ways

Have a recognised teaching qualification and experience.
