Are you an enthusiastic, relationship-focused educator who thrives on working with emerging adolescents? We are seeking a passionate and committed teacher to join our team full-time, permanently from the beginning of the 2026 school year.

At Wairarapa Cobham Intermediate, we are all about empowering ākonga aged 11–13 through connection, challenge, and curiosity. If you have a positive, team-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in guiding young people through this important stage of their development, we would love to hear from you.

We are especially keen to hear from educators who:

  • Bring strong classroom practice and a growth mindset.
  • Have a passion for extracurricular involvement – from sports to arts, clubs, leadership programmes, or anything in between.
  • Are open to taking on responsibility and contributing to wider school life.

Experience working with Y7 and 8 students is an advantage, but not essential – we’re looking for the right people. Beginning teachers are warmly encouraged to apply.

Come and be part of a vibrant, supportive, and forward-thinking staff in a state-of-the-art learning environment.

Please note: Applicants must hold New Zealand teacher registration and currently reside in New Zealand.

How to apply

Please send a CV and cover letter outlining your strengths and any areas of expertise.
