Experienced SEN Teacher - Bury
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (depending on experience)

Are you an experienced SEN Teacher dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? A welcoming and inclusive school in Bury is seeking a passionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join their supportive team. This is a rewarding role working with pupils with a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with pupils' EHCP targets
  • Teach groups or individual pupils with SEN, adapting teaching approaches as needed
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCO, parents, and external professionals
  • Track pupil progress, contribute to assessments, and participate in review meetings
  • Promote pupils' independence, confidence, and social-emotional development
Candidate Profile:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
  • Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN in specialist or mainstream settings
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching methods and behaviour management
  • Empathetic, patient, and flexible approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
