Job description

We have an amazing school in Bedminster needing KS1 cover starting September 2nd with potential to follow on into a permanent post. You will have the opportunity to work in a school with a strong ethos of diversity in the Bedminster area, catering to children between the ages of 3 and 11. You will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of education by covering a long-term teacher placement where you'll be given the responsibility of planning and preparing lessons. PPA time will also be provided.

If this isn't your cup of tea, we have an influx of teaching roles in North and South Bristol, both long-term and short-term, to support your preferred working style!

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Providing high-quality teaching and instruction to primary school students.
  2. Adhering to school policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  3. Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive engagement and learning.
  4. Following lesson plans left by the absent teacher and adapting them as necessary to suit the needs of the students.
  5. Collaborating with teaching staff and school leaders to support the academic and personal development of students.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum.
  2. Proven experience working with primary-aged students, either as a Supply Teacher or in a similar capacity.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  4. Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools and classroom environments.
  5. Valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate (on the update service) or willingness to obtain one.
