Experienced SEN Teacher - Bolton
Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced SEN Teacher who thrives on making a positive impact in the lives of children with additional needs? A caring and inclusive school in Bolton is looking to appoint a committed SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet individual EHCP targets
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, depending on their needs
  • Foster a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, external agencies, and families
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress and development
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence in all learners
Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
  • Previous experience teaching pupils with special educational needs
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and behaviour management
  • A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
