Job summary

Rail Delivery Group is seeking a TDA Project Manager to provide project management expertise for the Train Drivers Academy and broader People Strategy workstreams. You will plan, coordinate and deliver projects that align with strategic pillars and sector objectives, working with stakeholders and SMEs to implement agreed solutions.

Essential: strong project delivery, governance and risk management capabilities, plus experience engaging a range of stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Essential: Experience in a project management, programme support, project delivery, change delivery or similar role involving planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management and delivery coordination.
• Desirable: Experience of supporting the development of products, services, guidance, events or organisational change initiatives; knowledge of project management methodologies, requirements gathering, business process improvement or benefits realisation.
• Railway: Experience within the rail industry, particularly in operational, training, workforce development or people-related environments would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans to deliver project requirements and ensure transparency of accountabilities, deliverables, dependencies and timescales.
• Identify risks, issues and dependencies and implement mitigation activities per RDG governance guidelines.
• Develop stakeholder engagement plans and build relationships to enable contributions to governance and outputs.
• Manage delivery of projects in line with plans and monitor progress to support outputs.
• Coordinate project governance activities, meetings and documentation, providing timely reports.
• Support development of TDA products, services, guidance and events by coordinating activities with SMEs and stakeholders.
• Support scoping and requirements gathering to translate stakeholder needs into clear objectives and implementation plans.
• Support evaluation of project outcomes by capturing lessons learned and identifying improvement opportunities.
