Job summary

VVB Engineering is seeking experienced TBM Electricians to join our team for one of London’s largest infrastructure projects. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical distribution systems both above and below ground.

Key responsibilities include preventative maintenance, unplanned repairs on tunnelling equipment, and installation of electrical services. Candidates should have experience with tunnel boring works and possess relevant certifications, including a JIB Gold Card. Competitive salary and options for lodge or travel allowances are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in tunnel boring electrical works essential.
• Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety requirements is crucial.
• Possession of Safety Critical Medical certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative maintenance on tunnelling plant and equipment.
• Conducting unplanned maintenance and repairs on tunnelling equipment.
• Installing tunnelling electrical services as required.
• Performing HV Switching and Testing.
• Providing on-going surface installations as needed.

VVB Engineering provide complete solutions for mechanical and electrical systems; with expertise ranging across the rail, road, airport, power and utilities and construction sectors. We specialise in the construction, maintenance and refurbishment of road and rail tunnels and we are currently recruiting a number of Electricians with tunnelling experience for one of London's largest ever infrastructure and tunnelling projects.

As a TBM Electrician you will be working implementing and maintaining the electrical distribution systems above and below ground.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative maintenance on tunnelling plant and equipment
• Carrying out unplanned maintenance and repairs on tunnelling plant and equipment
• Undertake installation of tunnelling electrical services
• HV Switching and Testing
• Provide on-going surface installations as and when required

Qualifications

• Previous experience of tunnel boring electrical works/TBM
• Excellent Health and Safety knowledge
• Safety Critical Medical
• JIB Gold Card
• Ideally a First Aider
