We have an exciting opportunity for a specialist nurse with TB experience and clinical knowledge of working with clients with TB.

The team provides Nurse Led clinics and a range of services to patients referred into them from GP's and Hospital teams, including, Contact tracing, DOT & TB screening across Worcestershire.

Please note, this vacancy is for 22.5 hours a week.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

Working with a team of specialist nurses whilst managing your own case load, you will be motivated, forward thinking and able to plan and prioritize care for patients with complex health care needs

They will be responsible for assessing and carrying out the screening requirements of tuberculosis contacts.

Responsible for supervising treatment and support of patients with TB, liaising with other agencies and services, acting as an advocate for clients with TB.

The post holder will be a source of information and education about TB, training colleagues in the administration of Heaf tests and BCG vaccination.

The post holder will also be responsible for screening of new immigrants and asylum seekers into the area.

Responsible for the immunisation of neonates who may have missed the opportunity for vaccination at birth.
