Overview

Job Title: Assistant Manager - Tax Technology

Base Location: Canary Wharf, London OR Glasgow based (Hybrid - 2 days per week in office)

The KPMG Tax Technology & Innovation team comprises Technology Consultants, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Architects & Engineers, multidisciplinary engineering teams and IT service delivery professionals working on a large portfolio of systems to improve productivity and solve key business problems across Tax & Legal.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their challenges, gather and document requirements, and map out current (as-is) processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to translate and articulate requirements to technical teams, including drafting proposed tax processes and design documentation.
  • Support the design, development and implementation of KPMG and third-party technology solutions for clients, including configuration and testing to ensure functionality and alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the development of technology solutions and propositions, participating in testing and deployment phases to ensure successful integration.
  • Support technology demonstrations and sales efforts.
What will you need to do it?
  • A good understanding or background in accounting or tax is essential.
  • An interest in technology and its application in the tax function.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, concepts, and modern work practices.
  • Ability to work independently, knowing when to consult and doing so in a timely manner.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex requirements, processes and systems.
  • Demonstrable project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Amazing extras / Nice to have
  • Accounting or tax qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or CTA or equivalent.
  • Experience in data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Alteryx, Power BI or Tableau).
  • Experience in tax technology solution implementation and configuration.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in tax technology.
