Tax Technology Assistant Manager

Our Tax Technology team is dynamic and fast-paced, offering ample scope for progression and the chance to make a significant impact on RSM nationally, with potential to influence on a global scale, driving the digital transformation within the Tax business.

As a Tax Technology Assistant Manager in our Birmingham office, you will bring your experience within Tax Technology and play a pivotal role in transforming our tax function by bridging our tax technologists with the wider tax service line. Your focus areas will include supporting the team with the identification and documentation of intelligent automation requirements, supporting project delivery, completing business cases, assessing third-party technology vendor partnerships, and ensuring our operations and governance processes are followed. You will collaborate with client-facing teams to ensure the best possible service for our clients and RSM.

You will make an impact by:

  1. Working with the Tax Technology team and Tax service line SMEs to support the identification of opportunities for business process automation through the application of enhanced technology.
  2. Assessing the business cases of various technology solutions in collaboration with the Tax Technology leadership team and the Tax service line.
  3. Assisting with the adoption of AI and automation solutions introduced by project demands, and managing organizational changes arising from enhanced automation to realize business benefits.
  4. Supporting the team in defining target business processes and user stories to deliver increased automation and AI adoption.
  5. Facilitating clear communication and coordination between the business and the wider Tax Technology team during project delivery.
  6. Participating in functional and user testing to ensure solutions meet business needs.
