Job summary

Standard Bank Offshore, the offshore arm of Standard Bank Group, is seeking a Tax Portfolio Analyst to execute tax processes and advisory services across a dedicated portfolio. The role requires 5–7 years in Finance with specialist tax experience and knowledge of SAP and Finacle IT systems.

You will analyse operational activities to identify compliance risks, advise on remediation plans, and help reduce tax costs while ensuring regulatory adherence in banking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years experience in Finance with specialist experience in Tax.
• Experience in Banking and Financial Services and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Accounting systems knowledge with SAP and Finacle IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyse the operational activities within a dedicated tax portfolio to identify compliance risks.
• Provide tax advisory services to ensure the portfolio can manage compliance risks.
• Proactively address gaps in controls, processes and procedures and monitor remediation plans.
• Strive to reduce Tax costs while ensuring adherence to frameworks and standards.
• Perform risk assessments and propose solutions to manage tax risk.
