Internship Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics & Finance

Due to our continued growth, we are searching for a staff accountant to grow with us. We are a boutique Tax accounting firm seeking a staff accountant for a Full-time (part-time will be considered) position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare C and S corporation, partnership, individual, gift tax returns and non-profit tax returns, including tax planning.
  2. Assist with calculation and preparation of estimated/extension tax payments.
  3. Assist with income tax issues and tax correspondence.
  4. Conduct tax research projects.
  5. Assist in preparation of clients’ internal general ledger statements.
  6. Preparation of quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns.

Qualifications:

  1. 1 to 5 years of experience in public accounting or in tax preparation (no experience will be considered).
  2. Proficient in QuickBooks (BNA/CCH Axcess/CCH Research are a plus).
  3. Work under pressure and tax season deadlines.
  4. Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  6. Ability to handle sensitive/confidential matters in a tactful and discreet manner.
  7. Time management skills.
  8. Self-motivated, ability to think independently and demonstrate enthusiasm for work and position on a consistent basis.
  9. Inquisitive, with a strong desire to learn.
  10. Willingness to put in additional hours as needed to adhere to tax season deadlines.
  11. Ability to collaborate with others.
  12. Knowledge in Securities and Commodities a plus but not required.
  13. Knowledge of Information Technology integration into accounting practice is a plus.
