Corporate Tax Lawyer | Senior/Principal Associate | Leading International Firm | Birmingham | Hybrid Working

BCL Legal is working closely with a highly regarded international law firm, seeking to appoint a Senior or Principal Associate to join its Corporate Tax team, based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and growing tax practice at the heart of a global firm, with a strong pipeline of high-value transactional and advisory work.

The Role
This role sits within a leading international tax team that advises on the corporate tax aspects of complex and often cross-border transactions. The team supports clients including FTSE 100/250 corporates, global funds, major financial institutions, and privately owned businesses across a wide range of sectors-tech, energy, private equity, life sciences, and infrastructure.

You will advise on:

Domestic and international M&A (assets and shares)

Group reorganisations and balance sheet engineering

Management incentives and share schemes

Fund structuring and joint ventures

Tax aspects of IPOs and secondary fundraisings

Strategic tax planning and pre-sale structuring

Coordination of international tax input across multiple jurisdictions

You'll work closely with a highly experienced team of partners and associates across the UK and internationally, supporting on some of the most exciting transactions in the market.

The Candidate
Qualified solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in corporate tax
Proven experience advising on the tax aspects of M&A and fund transactions
Solid understanding of structuring, due diligence and shareholder tax issues
Comfortable leading on client relationships and supporting BD efforts
Experience with private equity and fund structuring is highly desirable
Keen to play a part in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to internal training and development
Ambitious, collaborative and ready to step into a strategic, senior role within the team
