About The Role

Our Private Business team specialises in providing corporate tax advice to privately owned and Private Equity-backed businesses, along with owners and management teams, on all aspects of tax in the UK and abroad, including shareholder issues.

We foster a curious and collaborative environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and innovation to deliver top-tier service. You will work closely with experienced Private Business Partners and Directors to develop new client relationships, including with well-known household names, and identify new market opportunities.

What Your Days Will Look Like
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of client engagements, advising on tax technical issues for privately owned and private equity portfolio companies.
  • Building and maintaining significant relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborating across the firm on complex projects and events.
  • Staying updated on relevant tax laws and legislation, both UK and overseas.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, drive, and leadership skills, with the ability to maintain trusted long-term relationships with clients and contacts.

Minimum Requirements
  • ACA and/or CTA qualification (or international equivalent).
  • Relevant, up-to-date UK (and some overseas) tax knowledge.
  • Experience with complex tax issues facing privately or family-owned businesses, private equity portfolio companies, and business owners.
  • Project management skills to handle multiple client projects simultaneously.
  • Stakeholder management and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including reports and technical memos.
