We are looking for a Senior Manager to join us in our National Markets regions in any of the following locations: Scotland (Glasgow and Edinburgh), North (Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle), Midlands (Birmingham), South (Reading and Bristol).

KPMG's Global Mobility Service (GMS) practice is a diverse and fast-growing area of our Tax business. We serve some of the biggest names, with high-profile engagements touching every corner of the world. Our GMS engagement teams are "360 degree service oriented," with tax technical, client development, and client-facing responsibilities as part of each successful Senior Manager's remit. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a confident, outward-facing skillset, and willing to invest time and energy in the marketplace. We are looking for remarkable candidates, ready for early responsibilities and close contact with our partner group.

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Involvement with a wide range of clients, exposure to interesting projects
  2. Manage UK service delivery and/or global coordination of client engagements, supported by a junior team
  3. Build, maintain, and lead strong client relationships
  4. Be the day-to-day contact for clients
  5. Review complex tax returns and oversee tax technical projects
  6. Conduct VIP arrival/departure briefings
  7. Lead client service teams for smooth operation
  8. Prepare written advice and advise clients on GMS issues
  9. Lead advisory projects for clients
  10. Keep clients updated on marketplace developments
  11. Lead business development and proposals
  12. Manage and coach junior staff

Qualifications and Skills

  • ATT/CTA qualification or equivalent preferred but not mandatory

Experience and Background

  • Experience with UK expatriate tax, including tax returns and advisory
  • Experience managing global assignee populations, immigration, social security, and compensation across countries
  • Ability to manage a busy GMS client portfolio and deliver accurate advice
