We are hiring: Tax Senior Manager

Join our new Tax team to lead tax solutions across a portfolio of clients in London and the South East. Focus on delivering our Smart Finance Function and Data Analytics services, while developing advisory propositions in sectors like Tech, SaaS, and e-commerce.

Leverage your technical tax expertise to create value-added opportunities and support CFOs and SMEs with strategic insights.

What you’ll be doing
  • Develop and lead the tax function, ensuring responsibility and accountability for all tax-related activities.
  • Grow the tax advisory services focus, moving beyond compliance.
  • Manage and enhance existing tax compliance processes, workflows, and SOPs.
  • Review Corporation Tax computations and statutory accounts disclosures.
  • Identify opportunities within client portfolios with CFOs.
  • Develop new tax propositions for tech, SaaS, and e-commerce clients.
  • Handle R&D tax credit applications and submissions.
  • Conduct independent research on technical topics.
  • Engage with senior client staff, providing insights on tax matters and opportunities.
  • Manage annual reporting requirements such as ERS.
  • Liaise with Portfolio CFOs, supporting and raising key topics.
  • Discuss broader business issues and deliver advisory solutions.
  • Coach FinOps team members.
  • Handle tax enquiries and technical queries.
  • Develop strong client relationships.
  • Provide internal updates on deliverables.
  • Support or lead propositions.

Depending on experience, additional responsibilities may include:

  • Other consulting projects.
  • Preparation and review of personal tax returns.
Who we’re looking for

Candidates must have:

  • A CTA qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Extensive experience in corporate tax and compliance.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience with SME fast-growth businesses.
  • Experience with R&D claims.
  • Knowledge of UK Tax structuring.
  • Attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to add value and think laterally in tech, SaaS, and e-commerce sectors.
  • Independent research skills and proactive client engagement.
  • Desire to develop within Flinder.
  • Proactive approach to quality and process improvement.
  • Client satisfaction focus.

Desirable but not mandatory experience includes:

  • Experience with tech, SaaS, and e-commerce businesses.
  • International expansion and structuring experience.
  • Personal tax knowledge.
