Job Opportunity: Tax Senior

We are currently working with a Chartered Accountancy practice in Stockton-on-Tees that is looking to add a Tax Senior to their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of personal tax matters, including compliance, advisory, and planning work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage a portfolio of clients, including sole traders, landlords, directors, and non-resident individuals.
2. Prepare and submit Self-Assessment Tax Returns and 60-day Capital Gains Tax returns where applicable.
3. Communicate tax liabilities to clients and provide the necessary information for timely payments.
4. Identify tax planning opportunities within your portfolio and communicate these to the company's directors.
5. Assist the Tax Manager with ad-hoc advisory projects.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

1. Have experience managing their own client portfolio within a busy accountancy practice environment.
2. Have experience with all aspects of the Self-Assessment Tax Return process.
3. Be CTA qualified in a mixed tax role, though qualifications are open to consideration.
4. Possess strong technical personal tax knowledge and the ability to research and communicate technical information effectively.
5. Be capable of liaising with clients and resolving queries promptly.
6. Be driven, proactive, and committed to delivering excellent service levels to clients.
