Job summary

Clark Wood – Tax Recruitment is partnering with a reputable Bath-based independent firm of chartered accountants to recruit a Personal Tax Senior. The role focuses on managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and delivering accurate computations and returns.

You will coach junior staff, identify tax planning opportunities for individuals and trusts, and support partners with advisory work for high-net-worth clients. A strong client-facing approach is essential.

Qualifications

• ATT part-qualified or fully qualified, or studying towards CTA.
• Qualified-by-experience candidates will be considered.
• Strong prior Personal Tax experience within an accountancy practice.
• Good technical knowledge of personal taxation.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients and be the main contact.
• Prepare and review personal tax computations and returns.
• Ensure compliance work is accurate and timely.
• Identify tax planning opportunities for individuals and trusts.
• Support junior team members with guidance and training.
• Assist Partners with advisory work for high-net-worth clients and trusts.
• Build strong relationships with clients.

Personal Tax Senior | Bath | £34,000 - £40,000 DOE

Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a reputable and well-established independent firm of chartered accountants in Bath who are looking to add a Personal Tax Senior to their growing team.

The Role:

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, acting as a key point of contact


• Preparing and reviewing personal tax computations and returns


• Managing compliance work accurately and efficiently


• Identifying tax planning opportunities for individuals and trusts


• Providing guidance, training and support to junior members of the team


• Assisting Partners with tax advisory and consulting work, particularly in relation to HNWIs and trusts


• Building strong and trusted relationships with clients

About You:

• ATT part-qaulified or qualified, or studying towards CTA


• Qualified-by-experience candidates will also be considered


• Strong previous Personal Tax experience within an accountancy practice


• Good technical knowledge of personal taxation


• Strong communication and client relationship skills


• Ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a reputable independent practice
