Job summary

interactive investor is seeking a Tax Reporting Team Manager in Manchester for a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. You will lead a Tax Specialist and Analysts, ensuring timely regulatory submissions, CASS and Consumer Duty compliance, and accurate reporting.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will drive process improvements, manage performance, and build a resilient, multi-skilled team capable of meeting tight deadlines in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Solid regulatory knowledge relevant to FCA, CASS and Consumer Duty.
• Ability to prioritise tasks under regulatory deadlines.
• Adept at interpreting data to extract KPI insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, compilation, and review of tax data for statutory and regulatory reports.
• Maintain working knowledge of ISA/GIA tax rules and HMRC requirements.
• Horizon scan regulatory changes and implement process/system updates.
• Review and sign off key reports ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee root-cause investigations of discrepancies and remediation.
• Maintain first-line risk and compliance defence for FCA/CASS obligations.
• Ensure daily safeguarding activities are completed and escalated if needed.
• Log, track, and remediate risk events with monthly reporting to management.
• Act as escalation point for risks and complex cases with recommended actions.
