Qualifications

  • Experience in a tax department focusing on VAT is desirable.
  • Strong PC literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

£33,000* - £41,800* per annum | 30-35 days’ holiday (pro rata) | 10% in-store discount | Pension scheme

As a Lidl Tax Officer, you’ll be a highly organised and enthusiastic individual joining our tax team. What you'll do
  • Responsible for assistance with indirect taxes (Mainly VAT)
  • Providing daily support for the Tax department including collection and analysis of data for indirect taxes returns
  • Communication with stakeholders within the team, business, HMRC and international counterparts in Germany
  • Assisting the team with ad hoc tasks and providing administrative support
What you'll need
  • A genuine passion for performing tasks effectively, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines and a varied workload
  • Confident communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • PC literacy – a good working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • A keen eye for detail, self-motivation and a proactive mind-set with a can-do attitude, ownership and the ability to work on projects and solve problems independently
  • Experience working in a tax department focusing on VAT is desirable
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel , Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP is beneficial
  • Background in retail would be an advantage
  • German language is desirable but not essential
