Overview
We’re seeking a Private Client Tax Manager and a Senior Manager to join our clients Family Office and Private Client team. With a focus on both tax compliance and advisory work the role also includes opportunities for business development and cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Guernsey and UK tax compliance for individuals, trusts, and related structures, including preparation and review of returns such as UK Self-Assessment, ATED, NRCGT, and relevant Guernsey tax filings.
Deliver written tax advice on income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and cross-border issues.
Maintain strong client relationships and serve as their main tax point of contact.
Collaborate with other tax teams (e.g. international, corporate, AEOI) and business services teams.
Support business development, prepare proposals, and attend networking events.
Oversee job budgets, WIP, billing, and collections.
Train, mentor, and supervise junior staff.
Stay current on tax law changes and contribute to client alerts and technical updates.
Qualifications
ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA, ATT or equivalent.
Strong experience in a practice environment handling personal and fiduciary tax matters.
Proficient in Guernsey and UK personal tax, including income, CGT, IHT, and trust taxation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and clients independently.
