Job summary

A leading firm is seeking a Tax Manager for its London office to oversee tax compliance and manage tax audits across its EU and UK entities. The ideal candidate will possess strong tax advisory experience, particularly within multinational organizations, and be well-versed in UK and EU tax regulations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to process improvement and automation in tax reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience, preferably in a multinational or Big 4 firm.
• Strong knowledge of UK and EU tax regulations including VAT and CIT.
• Experience in tax reporting and automation with international retailers preferred.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax compliance across all JD Retail EU and UK entities, manage tax audits, and mitigate tax risks.
• Liaise with tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders, including JD Group’s finance and tax department, on all EU and UK tax matters.
• Work with headquarters finance, tax, and R&D teams to enhance automation and process improvement in tax reporting.

Qualifications

• Chartered tax advisor with at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a multinational or Big 4 firm.
• Strong knowledge of UK and EU tax regulations, including Transfer Pricing, VAT, CIT, and environmental obligations.
• Experience in tax reporting and automation with international retailers is preferred.
• Self-starter with a hands-on approach, capable of working independently and within a team.
• Based in London.
