Job summary

AJ Chambers in London seeks an experienced tax professional to deliver sophisticated tax services, manage a client portfolio and support Partners with complex returns. You will apply in-depth knowledge of residency, domicile, capital gains and inheritance tax, while guiding assistants and trainees to ensure high-quality work.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, ongoing client communication, and collaboration within a team to drive value and growth for the firm.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified – e.g. ATT/CTA or qualified by experience.
• Experience in a relevant tax discipline at senior level.

Responsibilities

• Undertake technical support and research in delivering tax services to clients and liaise with Partner.
• Prepare complex personal and corporate tax returns.
• Delegate work to assistants/trainees, review and provide feedback.
• Engage in tax planning, projects and compliance matters and address client queries.
• Apply technical knowledge to residency, domicile, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
• Deliver complete tax computations and returns for advanced jobs and manage tax accounting.
• Advise on tax issues for company owners, including cash extraction and disposals.
• Collaborate with the team, share knowledge, and coach others to grow tax expertise.
• Build a professional network and participate in events; support marketing and business development.
• Produce content for articles and research topics; proactively seek new work with Partners.
