Financial Divisions is partnering with an established Tax and Investments Consultancy with offices near Hemel Hempstead to support the recruitment of a Tax Consultant/Tax Manager. This firm is dedicated to supporting their clients by providing comprehensive business advisory services; their ethos revolves around working in partnership to nurture enduring relationships, allowing them to understand their clients' goals and support their day-to-day activities as well as their future aspirations.

Tax Manager role:

1. Managing a portfolio of clients and providing tax advice and support as required.
2. Undertaking tax returns, CGT returns, and handling queries.
3. Responding to HMRC campaigns and negotiations.
4. Contributing to portfolio development and handling new client inquiries.
5. Supporting and managing the team.

Suitable Candidate for the Tax Manager role:

• Previous management experience within tax.
• Professionally qualified or possesses relevant experience for the role.
• Experience with trusts and corporation tax is advantageous but not essential.
• Managing day-to-day compliance for 200 HNW individuals.
• Handling trust work including accounts, administration, and trust tax work.
• Engaging in a wide range of advisory work, including residence and domicile advice, IHT, and CGT.
• Assisting the investment team with tax advice.
• Liaising with HMRC, clients, and third-party advisors.
• Desire to support clients' business activities and develop new client relationships.
• Experience managing a portfolio and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience - Tax Manager:

Essential:

• Relevant experience with private fund structures and overseeing quarterly and annual tax compliance reporting.
• Project management experience for implementing tax-related processes for new products.
• Professional tax qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, CTA).
• Experience in a financial services tax role.
