DK Recruitment is seeking a Tax Manager to join a growing accountancy practice in Plymouth. You will own a varied client portfolio, lead on tax compliance and advisory work, and contribute to the firm’s growth. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Plymouth.

The ideal candidate has proven tax experience in an accountancy practice, holds ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent, and demonstrates strong client management and technical knowledge in personal and corporate taxation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a tax-focused role within an accountancy practice.
• Holds a professional qualification (ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal and corporate taxation.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients.
• Overseeing the preparation and review of personal and corporation tax returns.
• Providing tax planning and advisory services to clients.
• Advising on capital gains tax, inheritance tax and other tax matters.
• Supporting clients with HMRC enquiries and investigations.
• Reviewing tax computations and ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Building and maintaining client relationships.
• Mentoring junior team members.
• Identifying opportunities to grow the firm's tax services.
