Hawksworth is looking to hire a Tax Manager for a global Fintech client, a market leader in Wealth systems, for a permanent role in Edinburgh.

We offer a competitive salary with a good package and hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience required:

  • ACA/CTA and/or CIOT Qualified
  • Exposure to International Tax
The job:

You will work as part of the tax team to manage the employer's tax risks and identify opportunities. Responsibilities include assisting with all corporate tax matters, working with advisors on R&D claims, preparing returns, calculating quarterly payments, and communicating with tax authorities. You will support the Global Head of Tax, Senior Tax Managers, and the wider group.

Experience required:
  • Qualified ACA/CA and/or CIOT with demonstrable post-qualification experience, from practice, industry, or both. Exposure to international tax is necessary.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge on all taxes affecting the business and experience with tax accounting under IFRS.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across all levels. Ability to educate and train others on tax matters.
  • Experience acting as a point of contact for delegated tax projects.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
