Job summary

Michael Page in Wetherby is recruiting a Tax Manager to oversee income tax compliance for a portfolio of clients and to provide advisory support. You will liaise with HMRC, prepare computations and returns, and build strong client relationships.

As you gain experience, you will take on advisory work and contribute to developing the tax team toward a department-leading role, with a focus on CGT and income tax knowledge and high attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Qualified ATT/CTA with relevant experience.
• Experience advising private clients on personal taxation and estate planning preferred but not essential.
• Strong tax technical knowledge across CGT and income tax.

Responsibilities

• Manage income tax compliance for a portfolio of clients.
• Prepare income tax computations and returns.
• Liaise with HMRC on client matters.
• Research tax issues and draft relevant advice for clients.
• Build relationships with clients and service providers.
• Assist in advisory work and develop into a leadership role over time.
