Job summary

Barber McLelland Ltd in Sheffield is seeking a Tax Manager to join an established independent firm of accountants. The role offers advisory work, development opportunities, and progression to Head of Team/Tax Director within a supportive partnership environment.

The role requires CTA or ACCA/ACA qualifications with strong tax compliance and advisory experience in the OMB sector, and a proactive approach to client service.

Qualifications

• CTA or ACCA/ACA qualification required.
• Strong general tax compliance and advisory experience within the OMB sector.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Head of Tax, providing an efficient and proactive tax advisory service to a varied portfolio of clients.
• Tax planning for private clients and HNW individuals, including estates, non-domicile issues, trusts and capital gains taxes.
• Assist in staff management, including development through supervising, coaching and mentoring.
• Review tax work carried out by the team and accounting staff within the firm.
