Job summary

Space 8 Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing national mid-tier accountancy firm to recruit a strategic Personal Tax Manager for their Solihull team. This hybrid role offers 2 days a week WFH, flexible hours, and a client-first culture.

You will lead the personal tax function, supervising a team, delivering high‑quality advisory and ensuring compliant delivery across HNWIs, directors and trusts while building trusted client relationships.

Qualifications

• CTA, ATT or equivalent by experience.
• Proven background in personal tax with hands-on advisory and compliance experience.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of a high-value personal tax portfolio including HNWIs, directors and trusts.
• Supervise, mentor and upskill a dedicated team of personal tax staff.
• Lead technical advisory projects while ensuring seamless compliance delivery.
• Engage with clients to build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders.

The Role

As Personal Tax Manager, you will lead the personal tax function locally, managing a diverse portfolio including high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), directors, and complex trusts. You will blend top-tier advisory work with oversight of compliance delivery, supported by a team you ll directly mentor and guide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Management: Direct oversight of a large client portfolio, delivering tailored tax planning and advisory solutions.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and upskill a dedicated team of personal tax staff, driving quality and professional growth.
• Advisory & Compliance: Act as the lead technical expert on complex personal tax advisory projects while maintaining seamless compliance standards.
• Client Engagement: Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and business owners.

• Qualifications: Ideally CTA, ATT qualified, or equivalent by experience.
• Experience: Proven background in personal tax, with strong hands-on capability across both compliance and advisory.
