Job summary

RNLI in Poole, England, is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance for the RNLI and subsidiaries. Hybrid work model with in-office presence two days per week, permanent contract.

Role covers preparation and submission of all tax returns, corporate tax work, liaison with HMRC and advisers, and advisory support on new projects within Finance and across RNLI.

Qualifications

• To have completed or be working towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or be qualified through significant experience
• Experience of tax legislation and returns
• Demonstrable strong IT and data analysis skills and experience
• Good understanding of financial processes and controls, and process improvements
• Experience of educating both financial and non-financial staff on tax issues
• A relevant tax qualification e.g. ATT qualification or equivalent (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Completion, review and submission of all tax and duty returns on a monthly, quarterly, bi- annual and annual basis for the RNLI and its subsidiary companies
• Completion, review and submission of the Corporation Tax returns for the RNLI and its subsidiary companies, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Managing queries relating to Customs and Excise and providing support to colleagues on cross-border transactions
• Liaison with external professional advisers and tax authorities, including HMRC, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and guidance
• Supporting the Senior Tax Manager with tax advice and guidance for new projects as required both within Finance and across the RNLI
